Route
Today, get up early and meet our guide in the lobby of your hotel.
Your first stop is the Temple of Heaven Park, where you’ll witness a large number of Chinese locals exercising in the morning, including folk dancing, Tai-Chi (a traditional Chinese martial art), and Peking opera singing. This gives you a deeper look at the daily lives of common Chinese people and lets you witness several facets of their way of life.
After that, you’ll stroll through the Temple of Heaven, the world’s greatest collection of ancient imperial worship buildings, where the majority of the Ming (1368–1644) and Qing (1644–1911) emperors prayed for prosperity and peace. Following your visit to the Temple of Heaven, you will have a private transfer to China’s premier museum, the National Museum of China, which is devoted to collections, exhibitions, research, archaeology, public education, and cultural exchange.
After stopping for a quick lunch at Starbucks or the Old Beijing Noodle Restaurant, you may explore Tian’anmen plaza, the world’s biggest public plaza, and the Forbidden City, which has been the home of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years. You will pass Jingshan Park when traveling through the Forbidden City from the south to the north. If you have time, you can also enter the park and ascend the hill to see the royal palace from above. The admission charge is not included. After that, return to your hotel by private transfer.
